Ford has announced pricing and specs for the Mustang Mach-E in the United Kingdom, where the electric SUV starts at £40,270 ($49,924), with deliveries to commence at the end of the year. It can be pre-ordered with a £1,000 ($1,240) deposit.
The entry-level model is offered with the 75.7 kWh battery and offers a targeted range of 280 miles (451 km). The electric motor that powers the rear wheels produces 254 HP (258 PS / 190 kW) and 306 lb-ft (415 Nm) of torque, for a 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) acceleration of under 8 seconds and a 111 mph (179 km/h) top speed.

The range extender option, which adds the 98.8 kWh battery for a targeted autonomy of 370 miles (595 km), is an extra £9,730 ($12,063). This version unleashes 281 HP (285 PS / 210 kW) and increases the maximum charge power from 115 to 150 kW. Plugging it in for 10 minutes will give you a range of 57 miles (92 km), compared to the 52 miles (84 km) of the regular variant, and a 10-80 percent charge time of 45 minutes, up from 38 minutes.
Standard gear includes pretty much everything, from the 18-inch wheels, panoramic roof, 15.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system and 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, to the wireless charging pad for compatible smartphones, electric tailgate, B&O premium sound system and 360-degree camera system.
The Mustang Mach-E AWD will be available from £46,570 ($57,734). The dual-motor version is offered with the same battery options as the RWD model, although it offers a lower range of 260 and 335 miles (418-539 km). The output varies from 254 HP (258 PS / 190 kW) to 332 HP (337 PS / 248 kW) and the peak torque is 417 lb-ft (565 Nm). Nought to 60 mph (0-96 km/h) takes under 7 seconds, while top speed is identical to the base spec.
It features a sportier design on the outside, 19-inch alloy wheels, red brake calipers, adaptive LED headlights and a few other extras.
Pricing for the Mustang Mach-E First Edition hasn’t been announced, but the entire allocation for Britain has been spoken for.
