Porsche has revealed that new 2021 911 Carrera S and 4S models sold throughout Europe will be now available with a seven-speed manual transmission. New features have also been confirmed for the U.S.
The German car manufacturer has been offering a seven-speed manual in select 911 models for a few years and now confirmed its availability with the Carrera S and 4S in the Old Continent. The manual will be available at no additional cost over the PDK dual-clutch also offered and all variants purchased with the stick shift will get the Sport Chrono package as a standard feature.

Included with the Sport Chrono package is a tire temperature display that shows the tires as blue when they are cold and white when they are at the optimal operating temperature. Sport Chrono also includes an automatic double-declutching function that increases the engine speed when shifting down, to achieve the perfect shifts. Also incorporated with Sport Chrono are dynamic engine mounts, PSM Sport mode, various driving models, a stopwatch and the Porsche Track Precision app.
2021 Porsche 911 Carrera S models with the seven-speed manual can hit 62 mph (100 km/h) in 4.2 seconds.
