The first reviews of the 2021 Porsche 911 Turbo S have hit the web and it looks to be an absolute weapon, as you would expect.
The first video below comes courtesy of Autogefuhl and spends roughly half of its time focusing on the exterior and interior designs of the sports car before the presenter jumps behind the wheel for some testing. Other reviews for the car come courtesy of Edmunds, Doug DeMuro and MotoManTV.
Powering the new Porsche 911 Turbo S is a 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged flat-six engine and while you could be excused for thinking this is the same powertrain as the 991-generation model, it isn’t.

It is all new and now pumps out 641 HP (650 PS) and 591 lb-ft (800 Nm) of torque between 2,500 and 4,500 rpm. Customers only have a single transmission available to choose from and it comes in the form of an eight-speed dual-clutch PDK that sends power to all four wheels.
Porsche says the car will do 60 mph (96 km/h) in 2.6 seconds and 124 mph (200 km/h) in 8.9 seconds but in all likelihood, these figures, particularly the quoted 0-60 mph time, are conservative.
Not only is the engine of the new car more powerful than its predecessor, but the turbochargers are now mounted symmetrically, with compressor and turbine wheels spinning in opposite directions. The waste gates are also electronically controlled for faster responses and Porsche has fitted new fuel injectors. The result is an engine that is more responsive and happy to rev, as these reviewers found out.
