This gorgeous 1979 Porsche 911 SC for sale in Australia may have a lot of miles under its belt but that doesn’t mean much in the world of sought-after Porsches.
The Germany sports carmaker offered the 911 SC between 1978 and 1983 with the name standing for ‘Super Carrera’. Powering the two door model is a 3.0-liter naturally-aspirated six-cylinder boxer engine which in its early 1979 form delivered 180 hp before being increased to 188 hp in 1980 and bumped up to 201 hp in 1981.
Although the Porsche 911 SC isn’t particularly rare with 58,914 examples being built, it is one of the finest iterations of the first-generation 911 and this example looks especially clean.

Included in the sale is the original red plastic book cover, owner’s manual, and original service books with documentation of servicing up until the last owner who purchased it in 2001.
In the last 18 years, the car has been driven approximately 11,000 km (6,835 miles) with total mileage sitting at 191,250 km (118,837 miles). Evidently, the original owner enjoyed it and drove it frequently.
Making the car particularly appealing is the gorgeous Oak green metallic paint finish and original Fuchs wheels. The interior includes factory-correct leatherette surfaces and tartan inserts on the seats and despite the car’s age and high-mileage, everything inside appears nicely maintained.
The car has an asking price of AU$99,900, the equivalent of $60,450 in the U.S.
