Roughly six months after reports surfaced that Genesis could produce a G70 Shooting Brake, a pair of renderings showcasing such a car have surfaced.
It’s a well-known fact that the G70 will soon receive a facelift that will bring it in line with the likes of the GV80, G80, and G90. Fittingly, these G70 Shooting Brake renderings from Kolesa depict the vehicle in facelifted guise.
At the front, the car sports the same crest grille as other new Genesis models while also featuring the intriguing split quad headlight design. Spin around to the rear and the brand’s new ‘Athletic Elegance’ design theme continues with split quad taillights.

As for the Shooting Brake body style itself, well, we think it looks superb. To our eyes, the current Genesis G70 is one of the best-looking sports sedans on the market and, while we’re still not sold in the brand’s new styling philosophy, the shape of a Shooting Brake works well with the overall design of the car.
Such a model would act as the perfect Korean rival to the likes of the Audi A4 Avant, BMW 3-Series Touring, and Mercedes-Benz C-Class Estate. It is assumed that the facelifted Genesis G70 won’t just benefit from the new looks but will also enjoy some mechanical modifications.
Most notably, the entry-level 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 252 HP and 260 lb-ft (352 Nm) of torque could be replaced by a turbocharged 2.5-liter offering up to 290 HP and 310 lb-ft (420 Nm) of torque. There’s also a chance the current range-topping 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6 could make way for the 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 of the GV80.
