We all know deep down that the Porsche 911 GT3 is all the car you’ll ever need, offering supercar-beating performance and the kind of feedback that’s just not available anywhere else unfortunately.

Combine this with the fact that it’s one of the very few sportscars at this price tag that still offers the joy of a high-revving, naturally aspirated engine with a slick six-speed manual transmission and it’s no wonder why the 991-based 911 GT3 is considered the perfect package for driving enthusiasts.

How do you make an already perfect sports car more… perfect? By painting it Gulf Blue of course, like this specific example that’s currently auctioned over at Bring A Trailer. The color itself is a factory custom option that added no less than $12,830 to the MSRP of the car when it was new in 2018.

The historic shade of light blue is paired with black 20-inch centerlock wheels and a black interior; the rest of the spec list includes things like a front axle lift system, black LED headlights, and the bigger 23.7-gallon fuel tank (89.7 liters).

The cabin features full bucket carbon-fiber seats dressed in leather and Alcantara, a Bose surround system, carbon-fiber interior trim, illuminated carbon sill plates, and an Alcantara-trimmed steering wheel.

Power came from a 4.0-liter flat-six engine that produces 493 HP (500 PS) and 339 lb-ft (460 Nm) of torque and can rev up to 9,000 rpm. It’s a beast of an engine and the presence of the optional six-speed manual transmission makes the 911 GT3 even more engaging than its PDK-fitted siblings.

This gorgeous Gulf Blue Porsche 911 GT3 has covered just 1,200 miles since new, which is a terrible shame and something the new owner must address immediately upon delivery. As for the rest of us, drooling over the image gallery will have to make do.
