This car first started out as a fifth-generation Mercedes SL-Class R230, which entered production all the way back in 2001. This however is a 2005 model, made to look like a post-2008 facelifted variant, wearing Brabus and Lorinser duds.
According to its Bring a Trailer ad, the car shows 25,000 miles (40,000 km) on its twin turbocharged 5.5-liter V12 engine, which is mated to a 5-speed AMG Speedshift automatic gearbox.
The exterior is finished in black, with Lorinser side skirts and a rear bumper cover that left enough room to fit six tailpipes. Meanwhile, Brabus mods include the polished 20-inch Monoblock VI wheels, front bumper, upgraded brakes, a lowering module, Mastic leather for the front seats, rear compartment, dashboard, center console and doors, plus a sports steering wheel.

The cabin also features an abundance of red stitching, plus generous factory equipment such as the heated and air-conditioned seats, a Harman Kardon Logic-7 surround sound system and Keyless Go. Illuminated door sills, custom pedals and chrome door lock pins from Brabus were also added.
The most important piece of the conversion is of course the Brabus T12 Power Upgrade, which together with the visual bits cost $65,995 – on top of what the car was already worth.
Performance is rated at 590 HP and 663 lb-ft (900 Nm) of torque thanks to the Brabus upgrade, which includes larger turbochargers, reprogrammed electronics and more. When stock, the SL600’s twin-turbo V12 unit would put down 493 HP and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm) of torque, so the additional muscle should be most-welcomed.
