The latest BMW M340i has fallen into the hands of Dahler, which has taken its performance credentials to the next level, improving straight-line acceleration and helping it corner faster.
Portrayed here in Touring spec but also available for the sedan, there are two available tunes. Stage 1 takes on the 3.0-liter turbocharged straight-six, increasing output to 442 PS (436 HP / 325 kW) and torque to 630 Nm (465 lb-ft). Go for Stage 2, and it will unleash 475 PS (468 HP / 350 kW) and 680 Nm (501 lb-ft), with both kits removing the speed limiter.

Now, you may have noticed that this makes the current range-topping version of the new-gen 3-Series lineup more powerful than the previous M3, which came with a 3.0-liter inline-six, making 431 PS (425 HP / 317 kW) and 550 Nm (406 lb-ft). This enabled it to hit 100 km/h (62 mph) in around 4 seconds, and a 250 km/h (155 mph) top speed that could be raised to 280 km/h (174 mph) with the optional M Driver’s Package.
Dahler hasn’t said anything about the acceleration figures for the tuned M340i, but the stock model produces 374 PS (369 HP / 275 kW) and 500 Nm (369 lb-ft) from its 3.0-liter turbocharged straight-six engine. It’s capable of hitting 100 km/h (62 mph) 4.5 seconds after setting off and has a top speed electronically limited to 250 km/h (155 mph).
A stainless steel exhaust system, built in-house, is also available for the M340i, which enhances the sound track, while the competition coilovers or lowering spring sets, also made by Dahler, will help it corner faster.
The front spoiler lip and two different sets of wheels, both of them with a 20-inch diameter, wrapped in Michelin tires, round up the mods.
