The Mk4-generation Toyota Supra is arguably the most beloved iteration of the Japanese sports car and has been adored by tuning companies for years. The guys from AutoTopNL recently had the opportunity to test out an extensively modified example along the Autobahn. It is ferociously fast.
We don’t have many details about the specific Supra other than the fact that it has a cool 1,239 hp and 826 lb-ft (1,120 Nm) of torque on tap. Range-topping variants of the Mk4 Supra came equipped with Toyota’s famed 2JZ engine with two turbochargers but many tuned examples with over 1,000 hp ditch this setup in favor of one big turbo.
With horsepower and torque figures to scare off even a Bugatti Veyron, it comes as little surprise that this Supra accelerates at incredible speeds and is also extremely tail-happy.

The first part of the POV video shows the driver making the most of the power, repeatedly kicking in the clutch to get the rear wheels spinning. At times, the tachometer screams past 8,000 rpm. Before long, the reviewer takes the car out onto the open road and is able to discover just what it is like driving a Supra with so much power.
Regardless of what gear the car is in, it builds up pace with extraordinary ease and in this video, is pushed through to almost 300 km/h (186 mph). While the Supra was never designed for such speeds from the factory, it seems to deal with them quite well.
