A number of automakers have been promoting coloring books and paper cars as a way to pass time during coronavirus-related lockdowns.  However, they have nothing on this group of YouTubers who make drivable (and pedal-able) cars out of cardboard.

Started over a year ago, the NHẾT TV channel shows a group of guys recreating everything from a Ducati Panigale to a BMW S 1000 RR out of old bikes and cardboard.

They don’t just focus on motorcycles either as they’ve built a number of cars over the past year. In one case, they made a $100 (£79 / €91) Lamborghini Aventador using two bikes, some wood and metal framework as well as copious amounts of cardboard.

The YouTubers have also made a drivable Bugatti Chiron peddle car featuring a metal frame, a custom steering wheel and gearing apparently taken from old bicycles. While it can’t hit 261 mph (420 km/h), the model is pretty detailed for something made out of cardboard.

However, their most ambitious project appears to be a Lamborghini Aventador SVJ which was created for $500 (£397 / €456). That’s significantly more expensive than their previous builds, but this particular model had an engine as pedal power is so yesteryear. Since cardboard isn’t exactly the most durable substance on earth, they also coated the car in what appears to be plaster.

Those are just a handful of their builds and you can check out the rest here.
