Remember the good old days when you used to spend the evening coloring car templates as a kid? Lexus wants you to relive those times with their new coloring templates.

Aimed at motorsport enthusiasts and petrol heads both young and bored alike, they feature the LC 500 Super GT racer and road-going LC 500.

Review: 2019 Lexus LC500 Limited Edition Is A Master Of All Trades

You don’t have to be a fan of Toyota’s luxury car brand to enjoy them, as they also include other racers from Aston Martin, Audi and BMW, “because it commemorates the 2019 race when Super GT cars from Japan and other cars from the German DTM series competed against each other for the first time”, the company noted.

Regardless of whether you can stay within the lines or not, Lexus wants to you share the finished designs on social media by including the @LexusUK tag in the post – and we would also like to see them in the Comments section.

Now, in addition to the Lexus coloring templates, which were inspired by ‘Ukiyoe’, the traditional Japanese woodblock prints from the Edo period that lasted from 1603 to 1868, you could also spend lockdown with other (foldable) templates, including the ones launched by Toyota last week.

These can be cut, folded and glued together to create 3D paper miniatures of the GT86, with the retro-inspired liveries of the real cars that debuted at the Goodwood Festival of Speed five years ago.

Both sets of templates are also an entertaining way of introducing your young ones to the wonderful world of cars.
