If you’re looking for a car that will stand out on European roads and attract as much attention as a supercar, this modified Pontiac Firebird could be the car for you.

For sale in Latvia, the Firebird was first registered in 1980 which would make it a late second-generation model. However, it looks radically different than a normal second-gen Firebird as it has undergone a series of modifications.

The front of the muscle car looks more akin to the first generation ’67 / ’68 Firebirds sporting four circular headlights that appear to be sourced from late 1980s or early 1990s BMWs like the E30 3-Serie and E34 5-Serie,  and a sharp bumper and grille with a prominent point. There also looks to be an aftermarket hood with a large intake to feed the engine with cool air. Spin around to the rear and there is a prominent spoiler and stealthy taillights. Interestingly, the car is also rocking a license plate from Alabama.

Very few details are provided in the listing about the car. One thing it does say is that it is fitted with a new 301 Turbo engine that Pontiac produced for 1980 and 1981 Firebird Trans Am models. This engine displaces 301 cubic-inches (the equivalent of 4.9-liters) and from the factory put out 210 hp and 345 lb-ft (468 Nm) of torque. The listing adds that power has been lifted to 300 horses thanks to a larger turbocharger, a new fuel pump, and an electronic fuel injection system.

Other modifications made to the car include 20-inch wheels, an aftermarket audio system, and a fully restored interior.

The private listing on Mobile.de states that the car has 1,000 miles (1,600 km) under its belt but we suspect that’s a reference to the mileage of the engine and not the chassis. The car has an asking price of €26,000 ($28,256).
