The bizarre lear jet-based limousine that we came across a year ago will hit the auction block at Mecum’s Indy event running from June 23-28.
Responsible for this intriguing limousine is a man by the name of Dan Harris and once upon a time, this lear jet really was flying through the skies. Eager to convert it into a limousine unlike any other, Harris mated the fuselage to a custom steel skeletal frame that took two years of research, design and development to construct.

Found deep within the chassis is an 8.1-liter Chevrolet Vortec V8 truck engine producing 400 hp. This engine is enough to propel the 12,000 pound (5,443 kg) limo to approximately 100 mph (160 km/h), more than fast enough to ferry you and your friends to a party or wedding you may be heading to.
The limo rolls on a set of custom 28-inch red and black Diablo wheels with massive 325/25 front and rear tires.
Inside, the jet-turned-car really is a sight to behold. The driver sits close to the center of the cabin and has easy access to four screens that relay footage captured from the various exterior cameras. The real party happens at the back, however, where there is bench seating, LED lighting, and a pumping audio system. There’s even a 42-inch TV and diamond-stitching across the seats. All up, the limo can hold 18 passengers.
No pre-auction estimate has been released for the limo and as you can imagine, accurately predicting the price of something like this wouldn’t be easy. The winning bidder won’t just get the jet itself but also the 44-foot trailer it sits on and a 2015 Chevrolet 2500 HD to haul it around.
