An epic 2008 Mercedes-Benz CLK63 AMG Black Series is currently up for sale on Bring A Trailer and could be the perfect vehicle to cure your coronavirus woes and help you rediscover the thrill of driving.
The CLK63 AMG Black Series is fondly remembered as one of the most remarkable street cars produced by AMG. This particular example was sold new to professional golfer Bubba Watson by Schumacher European of Scottsdale, Arizona and, at the time of writing, had attracted a highest bid of $30,000.
It’s worth pointing out right off the bat that this very car was involved in a crash in 2018 that reportedly caused damage to the rear, both sides, and to the structure of the car. It was repaired by Penske Automotive Collision in Scottsdale, Arizona and re-painted in the factory shade of Arctic White. A host of modifications have been made to the car.

For example, the CLK63 AMG Black Series includes blacked-out grilles, badges, and door handles while also rocking tinted headlights and taillights. In addition, it sports factory 19-inch wheels albeit ones that have been re-painted black. A carbon fiber trunk lid spoiler, stainless steel brake lines and Renntech strut tower braces are also part of the package.
Modifications continue in the cabin where there is a JL Audio amplifier and subwoofer. Work has also been done on the naturally-aspirated 6.2-liter V8 engine to include an ECU reflash, a carbon fiber airbox, new exhaust headers, and an H-pipe. Power continues to be sent through the rear wheels courtesy of a seven-speed SpeedShift automatic transmission.
