With more and more C8 Chevrolet Corvette models being delivered around the world, a plethora of photos showing the new car posing alongside the C7 Corvette have started to hit the web. The following gallery from the C8 Corvette Owners (And Friends) page on Facebook that was provided to Carscoops by the group’s administrator, Chet Baigh, show some of the very best.
It wouldn’t be incorrect to say that the initial reception to the styling of the C8 Corvette was mixed. We’ve always thought it looked superb and as we’ve seen more and more reach the hands of customers in a host of different specifications, have become even fonder of the design. It looks especially epic compared to the C7.

Look beyond the simple fact that the proportions of the new Corvette have changed dramatically due to the adoption of the mid-engined layout and you’ll notice that there are some aspects of the C8’s design that mimic those of the C7. Most notably, the shape of the side windows of the C8 are very similar to the C7. In addition, many colors are shared between the C7 and the C8.
Buyers of the 2020 Corvette have a number of options available to them, including a handful of different spoiler designs. The high rear wing of the Elkhart Blue Corvette pictured at the top of the article is particularly striking and suits the aggressive personality of the sports car to a tee.
The one area of the C8’s design that we’re not completely sold on is the rear as there seems to be just a little too much going on. Consequently, we prefer the comparatively simpler styling of the C7’s rear fascia, in particular the presence of the four tailpipes located in the center of the bumper.
