Bad Boys For Life premiered January 17 as the third installment in the Bad Boys movie franchise, raking in just over $60 million on its opening weekend alone.
The movie saw Will Smith and Martin Lawrence return as Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett, as well as Joe Pantoliano reprising his role as Captain Howard, or Police Chief Howard, to be precise. And then there were the cars.
We’ve known since the first trailer dropped back in November that Mike Lowrey’s car of choice for the movie was a blue 2020 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S, although if you’ve seen Bad Boys for Life, you know that he gets to drive other things too.

Now that the flick is officially making its way onto different formats outside of theaters, Porsche saw fit to release an extended cut of the movie’s opening sequence, which shows the two main characters rushing somewhere in the 911.
In case you still haven’t seen it, we’re not going to tell you where they were going and why, but we can tell you that the actual opening scene is shorter. Porsche of course chose to upload the version in which Will Smith is almost trying to pay the car as many compliments as possible, without making it seem like an ad for the 911 – even though it kind of was. It’s how these things go.
The 2020 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S, which in the U.S. costs upwards of $120,600, is powered by a turbocharged 3.0-liter flat-six unit, producing 443 HP (450 PS) and 391 lb-ft (530 Nm) of torque, sent to all four corners with the aid of an eight-speed dual clutch transmission.
