This 1987 BMW M6 is currently on display at Brooklyn Auto Sales, where it’s hoping to land a new owner for the price of $35,000.
Pricey or not, this is no ordinary E24 M6. Its 3.5-liter straight-six unit might have clocked 117,000 miles (188,000 km), but the car was fully repainted in its original Royal Blue, while the white interior with M-colored stitching is said to have been fully restored.
The classic bimmer also features an Air Lift Airbag suspension, allowing you to reduce the ride height. Meanwhile, the previously-mentioned power unit is mated to a five-speed manual gearbox, sending 256 HP (260 PS) and 243 lb-ft (330 Nm) to the rear wheels exclusively.

According to BMW, the North American spec E24 M6 could accelerate from zero to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 6.8 seconds, a full second slower than its European counterpart (dubbed M635CSi), which didn’t feature a catalytic converter. The latter had a bit more power too, providing its driver with 282 horses (286 PS) and 251 lb-ft (340 Nm) of torque.
The ad specifies that the car “runs and drive excellent” and that trade-ins are accepted, which could make it easier for some to put this classic M-car in their garage.
As far as this being a collectible though, the mileage is a bit of a bummer. For example, a 10,000-mile 1987 M6 was listed on eBay a few years back for $107,500. Still, even with this modded one you’d have a pretty rare car. BMW sold just 1,767 M6s in the U.S. and Canada between late 1986 and 1988.
