A mysterious Dongfeng model has been spied testing in the cold and snowy conditions of Sweden. Very few details about the vehicle in question are known. In fact, the only way our spy photographers were able to determine it was indeed a Dongfeng model was to look up its license plates.

The prototype takes the form of a sleek four-door sedan that looks unlike any of Dongfeng’s current sedan models, making it difficult to determine if this is a facelifted version of an existing car, an all-new generation of an outgoing model, or in fact a new addition to the company’s family of models entirely.

The front of the Dongfeng prototype includes a set of curvaceous headlights, a small front grille, and three large spotlights to help it continue testing even after the sun sets. Visible from the sides are a set of simple five-spoke wheels as well as a sloping roofline and chunky C-pillars. As for the rear, we can see LED taillights with a light bar stretching between them also visible under the thin layer of white and black camouflage.

Dongfeng has a host of sedans in its current lineup, including the A30, E70, S30, L60, A60, A9, and S50 but this prototype looks dramatically different than all of them.

Unfortunately, no engine details about this prototype can be garnered by searching its license plate through the Swedish Transport Agency (Transporrtstyrelsen).

We’ll look to update this article if we come across any additional details about the vehicle in question. If you have any idea what it is, be sure to let us know!
