For those who have yet to see the latest-generation Genesis G80 up close, the South Korean automaker has published this detailed 360-degree virtual reality walkaround video of the luxury sedan.
Unveiled late last month, the new G80 looks to be a significant improvement over the previous-generation model. This is particularly apparent with both the new exterior and interior designs.
Featuring the brand’s ‘Athletic Elegance’ design language, the new G80 features double-lined headlights and a prominent crest grille finished in chrome. As the video below explains, there is also an important character line running down the sides of the sedan. At the rear, there are double-lined taillights that closely mimic the shape of the headlights.

While the first half of the walkaround video focuses on the new exterior, we think the second half is more important as it explains the radically-improved interior. Among the key interior features is a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster with glasses-free 3D technology and a widescreen 14.5-inch infotainment system supporting Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
A host of safety features also come standard with the car. This includes no less than 10 airbags, the Remote Smart Parking Assist, Drive Video Record System, Highway Driving Assist II, and Driver Attention Warning.
In Korea, the G80 will be available with a 207 hp 2.2-liter VGT four-cylinder turbo diesel, a 300 hp 2.5-liter T-GDi turbocharged four-cylinder petrol, and a 375 hp twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter T-GDi V6. Buyers in the U.S. will have the two petrol engines to choose from.
