Fast & Furious 7 was memorable for a number of reasons, most notably the fact that it was the last film in the franchise to star the late Paul Walker. It was also memorable because it featured the rare Lykan Hypersport, a Middle Eastern hypercar with a Ruf powertrain and an eye-catching design.
The Lykan proved so popular among Fast and Furious fans that it was later featured in the live production stage show version of the film in the UK. That’s where the Lykan you’re looking at comes in.

This isn’t a functional car and was built for the sole purpose of being shot out of a cannon and into the arena where the live show happened. It is nothing more than a cheap shell built around a steel and wooden chassis. Despite it never having a powertrain, Genius Garage has embarked on a project that will see the Lykan body placed onto a Porsche Boxster and actually become a functional sports car.
In the first video below from Casey Putsch, we get a quick tour of the bodywork and learn just how the two cars will be modified to become one. There’s no doubt it will be a lot of work but the similar proportions of the two should make things a little easier. Most notably, the position of the front wheels, dashboard, and seats are roughly the same in both cars. However, the Lykan has a much longer wheelbase than the Porsche so marrying the two together will be no small feat.
