In case you were wondering how the Rolls-Royce Hyperion by Pininfarina is doing these days, rest assured, it’s in lockdown, like most of us.
The one-off coach-built car signed by Pininfarina is still in the possession of AlAinClassMotors, a Dubai exotic used car dealer, which has it advertised on Mobile. Mind you, they have been trying to sell it for many years now, but it seems that nobody is interested in it.

If we were to track it down, the Hyperion ended up in the Middle East sometime in 2012, after the owner, Roland Hall, a famed car collector and the man who commissioned it back in 2008, sold it for a reported £4 million (equal to $5-€4.5 million at today’s exchange rates). One might expect it to cost at least as much today, but the dealer is asking only €2,185,000 million ($2,380,370). Last time we came across it, it was listed for €2 million ($2,178,820).
Why no one wants to buy it is beyond our knowledge, but it still has only the delivery miles and looks just as good as when it broke cover at the 2008 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. It’s based on the gen-three Drophead Coupe, features bespoke carbon fiber bodywork and heavily modified interior that deleted the rear seats, turning it into a two-seat convertible.
The 6.75-liter V12 engine produces 453 HP and 531 lb-ft (720 Nm) of torque, channeling it to the rear axle via the six-speed automatic transmission. The Hyperion can hit 60 mph (96 km/h) in less than 6 seconds.
