It says a lot about a car when you find it on Facebook Marketplace, as well as Reddit’s Shi**y Car Mods thread at the same time, which was the case with this highly-customized 2018 Jeep Wrangler.

The car is up for sale and the asking price is $42,500. The ad specifies that “over $100,000 were invested” into giving this Wrangler its 1990s theme, whatever that means. Admittedly, we don’t get it, but apparently “It’s A Jeep Thing” as you can see from the stickers under the wheel well. To us, this kind of looks like the Power Wheels Barbie Jeep.

Apparently, everything is new on this Wrangler, from the custom Forgiato gold wheels to the full leather interior, split between 8 different colors.

Other features include the full lift kit, custom painted hardtop, custom fenders, and much more. Inside, each seat is supposed to boast a popular 90s color combination, and at least in that department, we can’t really say that this car is a failure.

As for performance, the Wrangler’s 3.6-liter V6 unit is mated to an automatic gearbox and an all-wheel drive system. We’d actually feel pretty confident taking this Jeep off-road, if only to take the shine out of those gold wheels – which would get dented pretty quickly due to their size.

Now back to the asking price. Unless you actually need this as a show car for whatever reason, paying more than you would on a 2020 all-new Gladiator makes little sense here. On top of that, we’re not exactly sure where the $100k went, although to be fair, cutting into the bodywork like that (see the rear end) isn’t going to come cheap.
