Now, a vehicle the size (207.4 inches or 5,268mm) and the weight (4,885 lbs or 2,203 kg) will never be a true driver’s car no matter how powerful or fast it is, but with the right gear, it can be the ultimate gran tourer to gobble miles like there’s no tomorrow.
And as you’re about to get a glimpse in the POV video shared below, that’s where it shines boasting all the amenities and luxuries one expects from a modern flagship sedan. The cockpit is dressed in fine leather and adorned with multi-color ambient lighting, and the driver is looking at the digital instrument cluster through the steering wheel, positioned next to the infotainment system.

Now, most who go for a B7 instead of the regular 7-Series, and even the V12-powered M760Li, are interested in the performance part. This includes the 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine that was tuned by Alpina to produce 600 HP and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm) of torque. The car completes the 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) run in just 3.5 seconds, en route to a 205 mph (330 km/h) top speed. By comparison, the 601 HP and 627 lb-ft (850 Nm) M760Li does the 0-62 mph in 3.7 seconds and tops out at an electronically limited 155 mph (250 km/h).
We’re very much aware that we will never be able to afford a new 7-Series, never mind the Alpina B7, but those who can will have to pay a minimum of $143,200 in the United States. The M760i becomes available from $157,800 while for the base 740i, you’re looking at $86,800.
