Australians love their fast cars and just four weeks before the country went into lockdown, the guys from 1320video took part in Powercruise #80.

The event, held at Sydney Motorsport Park, the same venue that hosts the annual World Time Attack Challenge, attracted hundreds of car enthusiasts with their crazy rides. These rev heads came together with just one goal in mind, to spin up their rear tires and perform some epic drifts and burnouts on the circuit.

The video below showcases ten of the craziest cars which 1320video had the opportunity to jump into the passenger seats of throughout the course of the event. These cars all feature crazy amounts of power and are absolute animals.

One particularly interesting car featured is a Mazda RX-7 that doesn’t have a rotary engine but instead uses an LS V8 with two turbochargers. It chews through rear tires for breakfast and we’re sure is an absolute ball to drive fast.

Another attention grabber that attended Powercruise #80 event was a Maserati 3200 GT equipped with a turbocharged LS V8 engine and producing 415 hp through the rear wheels. While that’s not as much as some of the four-figure cars that attended the event, it is more than enough to have some fun and perform some epic powerslides. It’s probably also a heck of a lot more reliable than most stock Maserati 3200 GTs.
