The 2020 BMW X3 M was subjected to yet another video, but this one doesn’t speak about the thrills it provides when stepping on the throttle, nor does it complain about the legroom for rear occupants.
Instead, it focuses on the sound produced by the 3.0-liter inline-six that has dual turbochargers and is matched to an eight-speed automatic transmission and an M-tuned xDrive all-wheel drive system.

As far as numbers are concerned, the X3 M Competition, which is the model featured in the following video, has 503 HP (510 PS / 375 kW) and 441 lb-ft (598 Nm) of torque, although it does produce more in the real world, as was recently demonstrated. For the 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) acceleration, you’re looking at four seconds flat, and with the M Driver’s Package selected from the options list, it will max out at 177 mph (284 km/h).
The lesser X3 M packs the same engine and boasts an identical torque number, but output drops to 472 HP (479 PS / 352 kW) according to the manufacturer. Nought to 60 mph (0-96 km/h) takes 4.1 seconds and top speed is 174 mph (280 km/h).
The base X3 M, starts at $69,900 in the States, and all colors, bar the standard Alpine White and $1,950 Sunstone Metallic, are $550 extras. Selecting other options can bump the price by nearly $10,000. Opt for the X3 M Competition seen here, and you’re looking at a minimal of $76,900, excluding a $995 delivery fee. In case you’re wondering, in Germany, the X3 M costs a minimum of €86,700, equal to $95,198 at the current exchange rates.
