Ferrari F42 Design Study Is An Unrestrained Supercar We Want To See In Real Life

In February, we brought you the utterly gorgeous Ferrari Stallone concept and have now come across an equally as impressive new study, this time designed by Paweł Breshke Czyżewski from Poland and dubbed the F42.

This Ferrari illustration took the independent designer no less than seven months to create and rather than acting as a potential replacement for any particular current Ferrari in production, instead offers a look at what an all-new model could look like if Ferrari’s designers were given the go-ahead to create something truly wild.

“The first thought on Ferrari F42 was to create a new version of F40, but each idea that I tested didn’t look good enough,” Pawel tells us. “That’s why I changed my mind and went into another direction, which was creating my own version of Ferrari look inspired by few models of this brand. But I also cared about the rear spoiler like F40 style,” he added.

The front is made up of thin, LED headlights that almost join together in the center of the bumper. There are also prominent carbon fiber intake surrounds and an extended carbon fiber splitter to suck the car into the pavement. Aerodynamics clearly played a key role in the design of the F42 with a large opening on the hood designed to improve airflow over the car.

Ferrari models currently on the market feature quite restrained designs, especially when compared to the likes of the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ and a new hardcore variant of the Huracan. However, the F42 is just as bold as those Lamborghinis thanks to large side air intakes and carbon skirts.

The insane aero design is particularly apparent at the rear with an F40-inspired rear wing and a massive diffuser. The Italian marque is not a fan of big rear wings on its modern road cars but in this case, it works brilliantly.
