Karma recently introduced a slew of E-Flex platforms, but now they’re inching closer to reality as the company has begun testing the “All-Wheel Drive Performance EV Platform” designed to underpin electric supercars.

The architecture is being testing on a modified Revero which has been equipped four electric motors and a 120 kWh battery pack which provides up to 400 miles (644 km) of range.

The model also has a “near” 50/50 weight distribution and is designed to have a combined output of 1,100 hp (820 kW / 1,115 PS). The company also says we can look forward to electronic torque vectoring and 10,500 lb-ft (14,236 Nm) of wheel torque. Of course, the latter figure is a bit nonsensical and is less than the 11,500 lb-ft (15,574 Nm) generated by the upcoming GMC Hummer EV.

While testing is just getting underway, Karma says the mule will be subjected to dynamic and static tests as part of a “comprehensive validation process to ensure the car will meet customer and partner expectations and demands in global markets.”

Karma didn’t say whether or not we can expect them to actually build a production model based on the architecture, but they noted the prototype demonstrates their vision for future products and acts as a showcase to “other OEMs, startups and automakers who wish to develop their own all-electric high-performance vehicles.”

Karma is heavily pitching their E-Flex platforms at other companies and noted the performance architecture can be “retrofitted to existing products and developed for new electric supercar applications; both for Karma and prospective partners.” They also added it can be used to underpin everything from street cars to track-only models.
