The Aurus Senat is a pretty blatant Rolls-Royce Phantom knock off, but it’s interesting nonetheless.

However, that wasn’t good enough for Larte Design so they’re transforming the ultra-luxury sedan into a rally-like crossover – and yes, these renders aren’t an artists’ flight of fantasy but teasers for an actual, upcoming production model.

In renderings released by the firm, the company revealed the model will be equipped with a carbon fiber body kit that includes an aggressive front bumper, a new hood and extended wheel arches. The ‘sedanover’ will also have new mirrors, revised side skirts and a prominent rear spoiler.

We can also see a double bubble roof and a sporty diffuser. Elsewhere, there are massive wheels and a side exiting exhaust on top of the stacked four-tailpipe exhaust system out back.

In order to transform the posh sedan into a proper crossover, Larte Design said the Senat will be equipped with a special suspension designed for “off-road conditions.” The company will also tune the engine for more power.

There’s no word on when the production model will be introduced, but the standard Senat has a twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 that produces 590 hp (440 kW / 598 PS) and 649 lb-ft (880 Nm) of torque. The car is also equipped with an electric motor that contributes 61 hp (46 kW / 62 PS).

Thanks to all-wheel drive and the electrified powertrain, the Senat can accelerate from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in six seconds flat. The model can also hit a top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h).

Interestingly, Aurus is working on an SUV of their own and it will be called the Komendant. The model will be heavily influenced by the Senat and battle the Bentley Bentayga as well as the Rolls-Royce Cullinan in Russia’s own market.
