If you’re in the market for an obscure and affordable concept car, today is your lucky day.
Currently listed on eBay for a Buy It Now price of $12,900, this Chevrolet Malibu Cruiser concept debuted at the 2001 SEMA show and turned heads thanks to its Sublime Lime paint job.
The modifications didn’t stop there as the concept was equipped with aggressive bumpers, a revised grille and clear taillights. Designers also installed a cowl hood, extended side skirts and a rear spoiler. Other highlights include tinted windows, a brushed aluminum gas cap, a lowered coilover suspension and 19-inch Mille Miglia Evo wheels.

The unique styling continues in the cabin as there are four Sparco leather seats which are separated by a full-length center console. The concept has also been equipped with a Kenwood audio system, a unique gear knob and a ridiculous amount of green carbon fiber trim.
The fifth-generation Malibu wasn’t known for its performance, but this concept features a turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 engine that produces 230 hp (172 kW / 233 PS) and 286 lb-ft (387 Nm) of torque. It is connected to a four-speed automatic transmission which sends power to the front wheels.
The concept has 12,160 miles (19,570 km) on the odometer and looks to be in pretty good shape as the biggest demerits appear to be some wear and tear in the cabin. The seller also notes everything is working properly. They go on to say “Most of the manufactures NEVER offer the CONCEPT cars to the public, so this is truly a UNIQUE opportunity to own a Actual CONCEPT CAR!”
