If you’re in the market for a modded premium SUV of the large variety, Manhart Performance will gladly sell you this limited edition 2020 MHX5 model with just 15 miles (25 km) on the clock.
This is unit no.1 of 10 and it’s priced at €215,985 ($240,000). It has a Black Sapphire Metallic exterior and a Beige interior. Of course, the most appealing thing here is the performance, with this SUV now putting down 713 HP (723 PS).
The engine is the same 4.4-liter twin turbo V8 as you’d get in the X5 M, however this MHX5 700 is actually based on the X5 M Competition. Torque output is also greater, rated at a monster 671 lb-ft (910 Nm).

You can bet that the performance upgrades do slash something off the X5 M Competition’s factory-rated 0-60 mph time (3.7 seconds), we just don’t know exactly how much, as the tuner has yet to release any numbers.
Let’s run through the technical upgrades first. These consist of the ECU remapping, turbo upgrade, gearbox upgrade, a stainless steel exhaust system and a concave One wheel set measuring 23-inches. Visually, this X5 also comes with a carbon fiber front spoiler and rear diffuser, a Manhart decal set and a full Merino leather / Alcantara combo inside.
In the end, what you get is a more aggressive-looking X5 M Competition, with about 100 extra horsepower compared to the stock vehicle. The thing is, at the equivalent of roughly $240,000, the Manhart MHX5 700 is twice as expensive as the SUV on which it is based, which really begs the question: how badly do you like tuner cars?
