What would the Toyota Prius have looked like if it was designed and built by Italians? Well, we can’t say, but this Prius bodykit from Japanese tuner Albermo does have a certain Italian flair, and to be specific, a Ferrari FF flair.
Albermo offers a number of custom parts designed to make ordinary Japanese models passively mimic Italian exotics and its SP42 kit for the Prius does just that.

The most significant modification made is the presence of a custom front bumper that shares a resemblance with the fascia of the Ferrari FF. There’s a blacked-out grille, sharp fog light surrounds finished in black, and a lower lip spoiler. This bumper can be purchased for a very reasonable ¥108,000 ($1012).
Elsewhere, Albermo has designed a distinctive rear bumper diffuser package for the Prius that gives the car a a bit more aggression. The rear-end alterations are priced at ¥78,000 ($731).
The Toyota Prius you see pictured stands out (for better or worse) even further no thanks to a racing stripe running along the center of the car in the colors of the Italian flag. There are also a number of fake Ferrari badges/stickers across the exterior which appear to show some kind of bird as opposed to the Prancing Horse – how noble.
Ferrari has never been particularly happy with companies trying to encroach on its intellectual property with kits like these and certainly not emblems so similar in design to its own, so we wouldn’t be shocked if it sets out to have this bodykit taken off the market.
