Touring Superleggera has teased its latest creation, dubbed the Berlinetta Aero.

Few details are available about the vehicle, other than what we can see in this teaser image. We can see that the car will be a two-door and features pronounced front and rear wheel arches as well as a sweeping roofline and a short rear decklid.

The overall shape of the car appears quite similar to the Touring Superleggera Disco Volante which is of course based on the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione.

A look over at Touring Superleggera’s website states that the Berlinetta Aero will follow “in the tracks of the magnificent Alfa Romeo 8C 2900 B Speciale Tipo Le Mans.” This one-off made a memorable appearance at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in 2010 and Touring Superleggera says the Berlinetta Aero was scheduled to make an appearance at July’s Goodwood Festival of Speed. Unfortunately, the event has been postponed meaning the coachbuilder will probably unveil the car online.

The gorgeous Alfa Romeo 8C 2900 B Speciale Tipo Le Mans features a 2.9-liter straight-eight cylinder engine with two carburetors and two superchargers to produce 217 hp. Obviously, the new Touring Superleggera model will offer up much more power than that and likely be produced in very limited numbers.

Be sure to stay tuned to CarScoops in the coming weeks as we expect to hear more about the new Touring Superleggera model soon.
