Before the Porsche 911 GT3 RS morphed into a PDK-only offering with the 991-generation model, the hardcore 911 was sold exclusively with a six-speed manual. If you’re still yearning for one, a 997.2 GT3 RS example is available to buy on Bring A Trailer.
Just 541 examples of the 997.2 GT3 RS were produced for the U.S. market and this one is painted in Carrara White. It is being sold with a DME over-rev report, window sticker, factory books and manuals, a Carfax report, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.

The exterior is absolutely gorgeous. In addition to the Carrara White paint, there are White Gold Metallic contrasting mirror caps and black lower body graphics. The car has a new rear bumper that was installed after the original was damaged and an OEM replacement windshield has also been fitted. Standard 19-inch center lock wheels remain and are wrapped with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires measuring 245/35 front and 325/30 at the rear. There are also yellow brake calipers.
Inside, there are black leather and Alcantara bucket seats with carbon fiber backs and optional Speed Yellow seatbelts. Also present are the Sound Plus and Sport Chrono Plus packages as well as Porsche Communication Management with extended navigation. A half roll cage has also been installed.
Power is of course provided by the marque’s legendary 3.8-liter Mezger naturally-aspirated flat-six with 450 hp at a dizzying 7,900 rpm. The car benefits from a number of modifications including muffler bypass pipes, welded coolant pipes, a Dundon Motorsports harmonic dampener, and the clutch and flywheel from the flagship GT3 RS 4.0. Mileage sits at just 31,000 miles (49,889 km).
