There is a good chance that you might want an Audi S8 after watching this video – after all, not many petrol heads can say no to a luxury cruiser with timeless looks and enough power to create havoc.
Based on the previous generation Audi A8, it paid a visit to a Dutch tuning firm named JDEngineering, where it received a slew of mechanical upgrades that allow it to run wild with true supercars.

A true lord of the rings, it boasts 702 HP (712 PS / 524 kW) and 687 lb-ft (931 Nm) of torque, for a neck-snapping 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) of 3.4 seconds and a 183 mph (295 km/h) top speed. The standard S8 needs 4.2 seconds for the 0-62 mph and tops out at 155 mph (250 km/h), courtesy of the 513 HP (520 PS / 382 kW) and 479 lb-ft (650 Nm) of torque pumped out by the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 gasoline engine.
With that much power available on tap, the S8 was set loose on public roads and everything was filmed from the driver’s perspective. The short video, which can be viewed at the bottom of the page, tries to cover the main aspects surrounding the insanely quick acceleration and soundtrack produced by the sonorous V8.
And since this used to be Audi’s flagship sedan, until it was replaced by the D5 three years ago, it’s also surprisingly civilized whenever the person sitting behind the wheel goes gently on the throttle, as you are about to witness.
