Ferrari made the most of the empty streets in Monaco over the weekend to film a modern-day version of Claude Lelouch’s ‘C’était un rendez-vous’ with F1 driver Charles Leclerc.

While the full film won’t be released until next month, the Italian marque has shared some footage from its recent day of filming. In these clips, we can see that Leclerc held nothing back when behind the wheel of the company’s flagship car, the SF90 Stradale.

At one stage, he can be seen speeding past one of the Principality’s most famous hotels before tackling arguably the street circuit’s most famous corner, the Grand Hotel Hairpin.

While Leclerc is more accustomed to driving open-wheeled race cars around the streets of Monte Carlo, his driving skills have clearly translated very well into Ferrari’s road cars.

Ferrari decided to partner up with the original director of C’était un rendez-vous’, Claude Lelouch, for the filming of the fast-paced film as a way of “demonstrating support for its tifosi, clients and supporters as an expression of hope that the world will gradually be able to absorb the painful and complex health crisis which has affected everyone.”

The Ferrari SF90 Stradale features a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 pumping out 769 hp and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm) of torque. This engine is joined by three electric motors, two of which drive the rear axle while a third is fitted between the V8 and the eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. All up, the SF90 Stradale offers up an impressive 986 hp.
