Citroen has revealed the all-electric version of the SpaceTourer MPV, dubbed e-SpaceTourer, featuring the same versatile and spacious cabin that can sit up to nine people.
Just like its sibling model, the Peugeot e-Traveller, the new Citroen e-SpaceTourer makes use of a 50 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, mounted under the floor, which is sufficient for a driving range of 143 miles (230 km) on the WLTP cycle.
Customers in select European markets will be also offered a bigger 75 kWh battery option for a longer driving range, at 205 miles (330 km), again on the WLTP cycle.

Power comes from an electric motor that can produce up to 134 HP (136 PS) and 192 lb-ft (260 Nm) of torque. There are three driving modes to choose from – Normal, Eco, and Power – which individually alter the output of the motor for either smaller energy consumption or better performance.
‘Normal’ drops the power levels to 107 HP (109 PS) and 155 lb-ft (210 Nm), offering the best balance between performance and driving range, while ‘Eco’ goes a step further and reduces the motor’s output to 80 HP (82 PS) and 133 lb-ft (180 Nm), as well as the output of the vehicle’s heating and air-conditioning without shutting them off completely. The top speed is limited to 80 mph (130 km/h) in all three driving modes.
The driver of the new Citroen e-SpaceTourer will also get to choose between two energy recuperation modes: ‘Standard’, for a feel close to that of a conventional engine, and ‘Enhanced’, for increased deceleration when the throttle pedal is depressed.
Citroen’s new electric MPV will be offered either with a 7.4 kW single-phase onboard charger or an optional 11 kW three-phase charger and is compatible with up to 100 kW fast-charging. The company says that it takes 30 minutes to charge the battery up to 80 percent when hooked to a fast charger.
The interior features a special instrument panel that shows EV-related information while the 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system is also updated with a new ‘Energy’ section and the location of nearby charging stations.
Depending on the market, Citroen will offer the new e-SpaceTourer in three available lengths (XS: 4.60 m – M: 4.95 m – XL: 5.30 m) and with an interior layout that can sit up to nine people. The first examples of the new electric MPV will begin arriving at dealerships in Europe at the end of 2020.
