Mercedes-Benz revealed the facelifted fifth-generation E-Class late last month, which of course means it will apply similar updates to the range-topping version of the series, the mighty AMG E63.
Spied in motion at the track and on public roads several times these past few months in both sedan and estate body styles, the 2021 Mercedes-AMG E63 has returned to the Nurburgring for some more fine-tuning, and our photographers were present to capture it on camera once again.

Judging by the license plates of the four-door model, this is the same car as the one we saw on video at the end of May, which made our day better with its beastly V8 soundtrack.
Speaking of the engine, it will retain the 4.0-liter displacement unit and will continue to be offered with two outputs. The current E63 has 563 HP (571 PS / 420 kW), whereas the E63 S boasts 603 HP (612 PS / 450 kW) and does the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 3.5 seconds.
While we don’t know yet whether the engine has been updated in any form, to drop emission levels, develop more power or both, we can tell you about the biggest visual upgrade, which is the restyled Panamericana grille. A signature feature of all modern high-end AMGs, the revised front grille will be joined by a redesigned front bumper with a wider lower air intake. Chrome strips were also placed at the back, between the bumper and diffuser and on the boot lid, and more chrome elements can be found on the side skirts, door handles, and window surrounds.
The 2021 E63 is likely a few weeks away from its premiere so stay tuned for more info as we receive them.
