Mercedes-AMG was gearing up to introduce the 2021 E63 tomorrow morning, but the internet has spoiled the surprise as several pictures surfaced online on Facebook via Car Journalism today.
As previewed by a barrage of spy photos, the facelifted model eschews the single bar grille for a new Panamericana unit which echoes the rest of the AMG lineup.
The grille is flanked new headlights which carryover from the updated E-Class. Designers also installed a new bumper and a revised central air intake which now features prominent vertical supports.

Out back, the car has been equipped with slimmer taillights and a new rear bumper. We can also see a modified diffuser and a familiar four-tailpipe exhaust system.
Interior pictures haven’t surfaced yet, but we can expect a new steering wheel and an updated MBUX infotainment system with a 12.3-inch display. There should also be upgraded driver assistance systems as well as some trim and upholstery changes.
While full details will be released tomorrow, a member of the German Car Forum uploaded an apparent magazine article which confirms the E63 will feature carryover engines. This was expected and it means power will be provided by a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine.
In the base E63, the engine will produce 563 hp (420 kW / 571 PS) and 553 lb-ft (750 Nm) of torque. It should be connected to a nine-speed automatic transmission which sends power to a performance-oriented all-wheel drive system with variable torque distribution. In the current model, this allows the car to rocket from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 3.5 seconds.
The E63 S is even more powerful as it will have 603 hp (450 kW / 612 PS) and 627 lb-ft (850 Nm) of torque. Thanks to the extra oomph, the dash to 62 mph (100 km/h) should take just 3.4 seconds.
