BMW first introduced the M4 GTS back in 2016, as a track-focused variant of the M4 Coupe powered by the same 3.0-liter twin-turbo straight six as the latter.
However, output was raised and many other mods were carried out in order to make the GTS more enjoyable to drive and more agile around a race track. The Bavarian brand only made 700 units, and one of them is getting auctioned off through Bring a Trailer with just 61 miles (98 km) on the clock.
Out of those 700 units, only 300 were designated for the U.S. market, which means you’d be driving around in a pretty exclusive car. Oh, and don’t let that four-point roll cage deceive you – the GTS is completely street legal.

The exterior is finished in Mineral Grey Metallic and comes with a carbon fiber roof, front spoiler and a manually-adjustable rear wing. Also present is a standard black kidney grille and the Shadowline trim, which came at no extra cost. The wheels meanwhile measure 20-inches, feature copper accents and are shod in Michelin Pilot Cup Sport 2 tires.
Inside, there’s plenty of leather and ultrasuede, with manually-adjustable sports seats and a four-point roll bar positioned where the rear seats would have been. You also get fabric pull handles instead of regular door handles and an Alcantara steering wheel.
Finally we can talk about performance, with this car’s twin turbo straight-six putting down 500 PS (493 HP) and 600 Nm (443 lb-ft) of torque. It also weighs 60 lbs (27 kg) less than the standard M4, and can rocket to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.8 seconds.
According to BMW, the M4 GTS was a 24 seconds quicker around the Nurburgring Nordschleife than the standard M4 Coupe, completing a full lap in 7 minutes and 28 seconds.
