The Aston Martin Vulcan is one of the rarest and most remarkable vehicles from the car manufacturer and as this video reveals, detailing one and applying paint protection film requires extraordinary care.

Aston Martin built just 24 examples of the Vulcan, and the car in this video is the only one painted in this lovely shade of green. Given its rarity, it is little surprise the owner tasked Topaz Detailing in the UK with applying a protective clear wrap over the paint to ensure it remains free from scratches and other abrasions.

The film applied to the track-only car is pre-cut before expert craftsmen apply it to the car with a healthy dose of soapy water and a squidgy tool. The seams of the various pieces are pretty much invisible and you’d only be able to notice the paint protection film if you took out a magnifying glass and inspected every square inch of the car.

Powering the Aston Martin Vulcan is a naturally aspirated 7.0-liter V12 pumping out 820 hp and 575 lb-ft (780 Nm) of torque that’s mated to a six-speed sequential transmission. The track car can hit 62 mph (100 km/h) in roughly 3 seconds and maxes out at 204 mph (328 km/h). It also produces huge amounts of downforce and can take corners at frightening speeds, making it the perfect toy for millionaire car enthusiasts.
