The Genesis G70 is only a couple of years old, but the model is already getting its first facelift.

Caught undergoing testing in the Alps, the updated G70 has an all-new front fascia with a crest grille that is flanked by “double-lined” headlights. The model also has revised air intakes which appear a tad more aggressive.

The styling changes continue further back as the facelifted model will eschew the chevron accents on the front fenders. They’ll be replaced small vents which are mounted just above the side skirts.

While the rear end is heavily camouflaged, we can see a set of quad taillights peeking through. Designers also gave the car a ridiculously massive dual exhaust system with oval-shaped tips.

Genesis has been tight-lipped about the facelifted G70, but previous reports have suggested car will see its turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine replaced by a new turbocharged 2.5-liter that produces 290 hp (216 kW / 294 PS) and 310 lb-ft (420 Nm) of torque. If that pans out, it would be a significant improvement as new engine develops an additional 38 hp (28 kW / 39 PS) and 50 lb-ft (68 Nm) of torque.

Besides the possibility of a new engine, the G70 lineup will be expanded to include a shooting brake. The model is being added in preparations for Genesis’ European launch and it should be a bit more practical than the sedan.
