While you may not have heard of the FAW Besturn B70 before, you’ll undoubtedly recognize some Cadillac inspiration in the design of the new model.

The B70 pictured will replace the outgoing model and be built in China by local car manufacturer Besturn Automobile which forms part of the FAW Group Corporation. It is quite an intriguing-looking sedan and when viewed from the front, the sideways Y-shaped headlights immediately reminded us of those used by various current Cadillac models. Beyond the headlights, the B70 sports a wide front grille.

The example pictured is sitting on a set of multi-spoke 19-inch silver wheels and incorporates door handles that sit flush with the bodywork. Found at the rear are L-shaped taillights connected by a prominent light bar. There is also a large brand logo sitting on the tailgate. A large sunroof is also visible.

Autohome reports that the new Besturn B70 is 4,810 mm (189-inches) long, 1,840 mm wide (72.4-inches) wide, 1,455 mm (57-inches) high and has a wheelbase of 2,800 mm (110-inches).

Powering the sedan will reportedly be a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine pumping out 169 hp.

However, the design similarities are not as blatant as some other cars out of the country, like this G-Class rip-off.
