Fiat has revealed the production E-Ducato, the EV version of the company’s light commercial van, which will become available to selected clients for pilot projects.
It’s been almost a year since Fiat first showcased the E-Ducato as a prototype, with the finished product to be offered in all available body variants, featuring the same load volume with the ICE-powered Ducato.

Fiat’s electric van is powered by an electric motor with a maximum output of 120 HP and 206 lb-ft (280 Nm) of torque and will offer customers the choice between different sizes of battery packs for a driving range of between 200 km to over 330 km (124 miles to 205 miles). The Italian carmaker notes that the driving range figures are sufficient for a typical urban delivery cycle.
The urban focus of the new Fiat E-Ducato reflects its top speed, which is limited to 62 mph (100 km/h) for “improved energy absorption”. Depending on the body you choose, the E-Ducato offers a load volume from 10 to 17 cubic meters (353 to 600 cubic feet) and a class-leading payload of up to 1,950 kg.
In addition, every E-Ducato is 100 percent connected, featuring an exclusive suite of features to aid different types of customers, from individual professionals to those using a fleet management system.
Fiat’s new electric van will be soon subjected to extensive field testing by partner clients under normal working conditions before it goes officially on sale, something that the company promises to happen in the next few months. The Fiat E-Ducato will initially become available to order in the main European markets before expanding to other countries.
