Genesis has made several changes to the G90 flagship luxury sedan in Korea for the 2021 model year.
The most important change is the introduction of a new ‘Stardust’ special edition for the local market, limited to only 50 examples. The limited-run model features a two-tone livery with a special carbon metal sparkling pearl effect on the upper half and a Vik Black lower half.
The painstaking paint process, done mostly by hand, is the reason why the G90 Stardust is offered in such a limited production run.

Inside, the G90 Stardust gets bespoke two-tone leather seats, metallic pore Ash wood trim and a black headliner for an exclusive look. Unsurprisingly, the G90 Stardust is based on the range-topping, V8-powered 2021 G90 5.0 Prestige trim.
“The G90 Stardust represents the ultimate form of elegance. In that moment when you arrive at a red carpet event, nothing less is expected,” said SangYup Lee, the head of Genesis Global Design.
In addition to the Stardust edition, the Korean-spec Genesis G90 gains a number of standard features for 2021MY including Adaptive Control Suspension, intelligent headlights, Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist-Reverse, and new 19-inch wheels.
The Adaptive Control Suspension is said to minimize vibrations, improve ride comfort and steering stability. As for Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist-Reverse, it alerts the driver when a collision with a pedestrian or an obstacle is detected during low-speed reversing and automatically engages the brakes if necessary.
The 2021 Genesis G90 goes on sale in Korea on July 2 with prices starting from 79 million won ($65,620). Not counting the long-wheelbase Genesis G90 Limousine, the G90 Stardust tops the range at 133.5 million won ($110,900).
