At the start of the month, Polestar and Koenigsegg announced a mysterious collaboration on social media. Now, three weeks later, the companies have released a video of the potent Koenigsegg Gemera and the Polestar Precept alongside each other.
This clip was filmed on the west coast of Sweden and features Polestar head of design Maximilian Missoni, Polestar chief executive Thomas Ingenlath, Koenigsegg head of design Sasha Selipanov and Koenigsegg chief executive Christian von Koenigsegg. The four talk about the cars they brought along as well as the broader automotive industry.

While it’s a little unusual to see two car manufacturers talking so openly together and for those discussions to be shared online, it does provide us with an interesting look at how the respective philosophies of the two companies complement each other.
Towards the end of the video, Christian von Koenigsegg says that he is not motivated by making profits from selling multi-million dollar hypercars to the rich few but has instead always been inspired and driven by the design and appeal of supercars and set out to show the world that you can fulfill your dreams if you have the determination to succeed, no matter how wild your dreams may be.
Unfortunately, the video provides no real indication as to whether or not Koenigsegg and Polestar actually intend on working together on future products or if they created this video simply to show what two of Sweden’s most innovative companies are capable of.
