The 2021 Ford Bronco will be unveiled next month, but it’s still leaking like a sieve.

The latest glimpse comes from TFL Car and it finally confirms the rumored manual transmission.

As you can see in the video, the Bronco will have a seven-speed stick that features six traditional gears. The new off-roader’s extra cog will be a so-called “crawler gear” which is designed for off-roading.

If that wasn’t interesting enough, switchgear appears to reveal the front and rear locking differentials as well as an electronic sway bar disconnect. This suggests Ford has studied the Wrangler Rubicon playbook and decided to copy a page or two.

The publication also got photos of a Bronco equipped with a 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine. This isn’t surprising as the model will be based on the Ranger which is powered exclusively, in the United States, by the aforementioned four-cylinder which produces 270 hp (201 kW / 274 PS) and 310 lb-ft (420 Nm) of torque.

Of course, there have also been rumors about an optional 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 with 325 hp (242 kW / 330 PS) and 400 lb-ft (542 Nm) of torque. It, and the four-cylinder, should be offered with the seven-speed manual as well as a ten-speed automatic.

Besides confirming some powertrain details, the latest batch of photos reveals how the roof will be removed. As you can see, there will be pull down levers on the windshield frame as well as simple turn levers. This setup echoes the one used on the Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator.

Last but not least, we can see the Bronco will have six auxiliary switches. That should be more than enough for an assortment of aftermarket accessories..
