Lotus has teamed up with bespoke British tailor Norton & Sons to create “something special for the drivers.”
The companies are keeping details under wraps, but said the project will be unveiled later this year and “incorporate both brands’ core values of light-weighting, performance-oriented contemporary design and sporting durability.”
While the teasers show an Evora GT 410 Sport, Lotus said the project was actually inspired by the Evija hypercar. As a result, the two companies will likely unveil a customized Evija.

That remains unconfirmed, but Lotus noted Norton & Sons is one of Savile Row’s longest-established tailors as they were founded in 1821 and have clothed people like King Edward VII. The automaker also hinted they tapped Norton & Sons as they have “expertise in exquisite lightweight clothing for sporting pursuits.”
A lot of questions remain, but the Evija aims to become the world’s most powerful production road car. As part of this effort, it will be equipped with four electric motors which produce a combined output 1,972 hp (1,471 kW / 2,000 PS) and 1,254 lb-ft (1,700 Nm) of torque. This should enable the model to rocket from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in less than three seconds and hit a top speed in excess of 200 mph (320 km/h).
The Evija also features a carbon fiber monocoque chassis and a mid-mounted 70 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. The latter will allow for a range of approximately 250 miles (400 km) on a single charge. The model also boasts fast charging technology as a 350 kW charger is designed to give an 80% charge in 12 minutes and a full charge in 18 minutes.
The Evija is slated to go into production later this year and only 130 units will be built.
