Cars like the Porsche 918 Spyder, McLaren Senna, and the McLaren 600LT have won over fans with their top-exiting exhausts and have inspired the creation of this; a top-exiting exhaust system for the McLaren 12C and 650S models.
This special exhaust comes through a collaboration between Taiwan’s Frequency Intelligent (Fi) exhaust and tuning company Zacoe and makes these McLaren supercars even more desirable.

The Fi exhaust itself is ceramic coated and promises to not only increase the sound of the 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V8 driving the 12C and 650S but will also add some horsepower and torque thanks to its more free-flowing design than the standard system. It will also spit flames at will, Evo notes.
While Frequency Intelligent handled the development of the exhaust, Zacoe was tasked with creating an all-new carbon fiber rear fascia free of any traditional cutouts for the tailpipes. In addition, Zacoe has made a carbon fiber piece that sits around the exhaust and can deal with the heat of the exhaust system.
In developing the top-exiting exhaust of the McLaren 600LT, the British car manufacturer had to fit a special heat-resistant material on part of the rear wing to prevent damage to the carbon fiber. Zacoe hasn’t fitted its carbon wing with such material but the Fi exhaust appears to exit almost vertically out of the engine bay as opposed to the angle of the 600LT’s exhaust.
Pricing details for the exhaust and all the carbon fiber trimmings has yet to be announced.
