Bentley and Breitling have been working together for 17 years, with the watchmaker now unveiling its latest Chronomat model that’s meant to celebrate that partnership.

The new Chronomat is an all-purpose sports watch that “can travel from the beach to the red carpet in the same day.” It has a 42 millimeter stainless steel case with a green dial and black contrasting chronograph counters.

Other features include the stainless steel Rouleaux bracelet with butterfly clasp and the Bentley engraving round the transparent sapphire caseback.

“Both Bentley and Breitling share illustrious heritages which have been the bedrock of future world-leading technological and design developments for our brands. From the onboard technology which defines Bentleys as the ultimate luxury grand tourers, to the passenger environment that maximises comfort and unrivalled luxury, our new range of models all derive inspiration from our history while driving our vision forward into the future,” said Bentley CEO Adrian Hallmark.

“The new Chronomat Bentley exemplifies this commitment to honouring our authentic values while creating a new and enduring icon for today’s modern customers.”

Originally, the Chronomat was inspired by the Frecce Tricolori watch, developed and launched in 1983 in collaboration with the Italian squadron that used the same name.

This latest one was dubbed the B01 42 Bentley internally, and boasts the following features:

Material: stainless steel
Diameter: 42 millimeters
Height: 15.10 millimeters
Water resistance: up to 20 bar (200 meters)
Glass: sapphire, convex, double anti-reflective
Caseback: screwed steel, sapphire glass
Crown: screw-locked, two gaskets
Bezel: unidirectional ratcheted, with rider tabs, numerals, and indexes

As for pricing, it costs £6,650 in the UK, $8,100 in the U.S. and €7,900 in Europe. So you can have one of these, or a base-spec Dacia Sandero – but we guess no one who’s looking at a Bentley-badged Breitling will ever find themselves in that dilemma.
