Spain has been hit particularly hard by the coronavirus pandemic but the Porsche Ibérica dealership in Madrid made the best of a bad situation earlier this week, organizing a large meet-up of Porsche owners at a drive-in cinema.
Local publication Peridismodel Motor reports that no less than 600 people attended the event in roughly 250 Porsche models. They watched Bad Boys For Life, a movie starring Will Smith, Martin Lawrence and also featuring a brand new 992-generation Porsche 911, making it the perfect choice for this group of Porschephiles.

A wide array of cars attended the drive-in cinema event that also appears to have included food stalls. Among the cars parked up front were old and new Porsche 911, Boxster, and Cayman models. We can also see at least one Porsche 924 in one of the photos. There also appeared to be a number of brand new Taycans in the crowd. Parked along the back rows of the crowd were Porsche Cayenne and Macan models.
“Once again, I am deeply proud of our customers, who have enthusiastically responded to this first reunion call after so many months with no contact other than virtual,” chief executive of Porsche Ibérica Tomás Villén said after the event. “The image of 250 Porsche ‘sitting’ harmoniously in front of the big screen is a symbol that shows that we are a great family, a family that shares the passion for our extraordinary sports cars, but also for a lifestyle that unites us beyond of the road.”
